HI THERE!
I assume you either crochet or were just searching crafting sites which means we already have something in common. I have been crocheting for almost 20 years. 18 to be exact. I learned when I was pregnant with my College girl (who will be known as my Big Baby from here on out). I am still perfecting my technique 'cause, well you're never too old to learn right?
Oh I reckon I should add that although I am perfectly capable of speaking plain English....I don't. It's boring and it ain't me. So, if you are a grammar Nazi you're probably going to be annoyed by my southern slang and down right mutilation of the English language. I would apologize, me being a nice southern woman and all 'cept I ain't sorry. It's who I am and right now I like me. :)
On that note, let's get to the goods....let's see...where were we. Right, crochet. I love it! I also sew and do lots of DIY projects but crochet is my therapy. I have recently been diagnosed with ADD and bi-polar disorder II (the milder form) so keeping my hands and mind busy is very soothing when my wires get crossed. Not to mention there is something so completely satisfying about creating with your hands. The look of joy on someones face when they see that heirloom baby blanket or that sweet little doll I made for them warms me to the core. I am always working on something for my Male Child (he's 7) and my Ladybug (she's 13). I have so many patterns and so many ideas I doubt I will ever get them all done in my lifetime. But I sure can try!
This is my platform to share my craft and connect with other folks like myself. I will share other crafts as well and probably promote other crafters. I will brag about my children, share silly things about my dogs, complain about my life, and share the word of God. He is the only reason I am still alive today and I thank Him and share his love every chance I get. So, WELCOME to my blog!! Grab a cup of coffee and a snack and enjoy!
